Here's the thing about Mondays: having something healthy and enjoyable to look forward to, to begin our new week is always a winner, especially after a cozy, celebratory weekend. Monday mornings are always quiet meditation mornings with 30 minutes of yoga in a healthy and well-ventilated space, from the comforts of home. It always leaves me with a smiling spirit for the great centering balance it brings to our busy lives with a focus on creating and/ or maintaining calm. This year, it was exciting to have a certified yoga instructor in a few of our elementary/ primary classrooms during our career week and I can't wait to share our young kids feedback on their actual yoga experience at the end of the month. We all had such great fun and wanted to do it again, and as soon as possible. Need I say anymore? :)
I love the mental meditative flow, breathing awareness, enhanced flexibility, and positive self image it brings to children of all ages, and we grown-ups too. If you've not yet tried a class, take the plunge as it sure beats banging our bones, muscles and joints on hard concrete which in most cases creates lifelong injuries we could have avoided by being kinder to our bodies.
