{good memories: my sister Gi's very impressive (and mighty delicious) Oh She Glows soup made with all organic produce and lots(!) of cutting up of said produce; so-so good, and i'm ready for another bowl where i will arrive when it's ready and enjoy feet up while on her comfy couch :)}
Usually, I'm not one to dream about work, with dreams that often have me on a cruise ship or cozy boat heading somewhere over our dreamy seas with loved ones (kids with fries included), on the lido deck, looking out at our beautiful blue, no less. But last weekend, somewhere in the Saturday a.m. bells, (it's still all a fog as to what specific time of a.m.), I actually dreamed about 'work'-- and then, in many ways, realized it was not really work, as blogging still continues to be a relaxing hobby of mine, with a few fun perks attached to the process... I actually dreamed that I forgot to type when to add the pure olive oil to this mellow transitional recipe, and attended to it on awaking, where there were a few waiting questions in my DM loft about said ingredient 'lost' in the directions. Thanks, and sorry about that Guys-- the olive oil has now been 'found'... Thanks for a peaceful week, and I know my security detail will be happy to know that this weekend I'm having all the drinks(!) all.the.drinks. :) More behind the scenes after the jump... Have a smooth one, especially my Florida people! We've been here before, and we'll make it through... stay safe, and hang tight with each other. ~xx
'Still makes us smile decades later; #oursong from ♫ After 7 for the weekend...
{more softer shades of summer kissed by the sun}
{love these for travelling and our back to school days}
{new lunch date & true story: this wildlife guy unexpectedly pops his head out from the hedges and literally sits about 15 inches away looking at me and my lunch bag, non-stop; i've been on a mini M&M's (happy pills) kick all week, and sprinkle a few next to him (and of course he doesn't move a stitch); he gobbles them up in a flash and then sits again looking right at me as if to say, "Ok, what's next?"; such audacity...; mr. squirrel spotted the preserves and cheddar sandwich in my hand and kept looking at it, so I broke a piece off and placed it next to him-- and he dove right into it, layer by layer; then he played in the hedges for a few and came back out, this time just quietly looking around :); he soon spotted the bolder 'big daddy' heading towards me from behind and decided to scurry away...}
{it's been such a rough year, mentally and emotionally, since March of this year, with a new layer to deal with each and every month-- if not the self, close enough to, and most often, unnecessary; i can't thank you enough for your support, just being there, and always checking in with us this side; this month, i discovered this down-to-earth, easy-going, and uplifting Pastor, Pastor Billy Richards, just by chance as i also started watching the recorded Daily TV Mass on YES TV on Sundays before bed, even with going to mass on our weekends; i needed the extra, and he comes on just after; so i started recording his program too and boy does he keep things in perspective in a very humourous, laid-back, and respectful way; i always laugh at the most unexpected moments with good take-away insight for our journey; it's been great-- Faith. {and a summer strawberry mousse ice cream in progress; family in town and strawberry is the favourite; a lighter, sophisticated strawberry flavour with more of a light cream push; no leftovers!; just the way i like it :)}
