I received this truly lovely candle in 'Winter Pine' this past holiday and checked all the boxes a beautiful candle can deliver the very first evening I lit it — and then some: deep relaxation, restoration, calm, and a gentle-be all over feel. If you have yet to hear about this fairly new-to-the-market company, welcome to the serene world of Humble Bee Candles. Hand poured right here in Toronto, Canada, and hoping to "sprinkle kindness, humbleness, and joy to those who receive the candle..."
'Winter Pine' remains my favourite scent of all with its deep, woodsy, East meets West exotic throw within three minutes of lighting the natural lead-free wick. With uplifting and balancing notes of pine and sandalwood, it's my Valentine pick for our ladies and gents this year with its soft, soothing, and mysterious 'romantic' edge...
'Winter Pine' is from Natalie's handmade Wood Planter Box Collection and can be reused as a planter (hello Spring), or for accessories, with an individual instruction card inside each wood planter box candle.
The simple, smoked black glass sophistication of the vessel attracts the minimalist within. 'Winter Pine' is filled with 8 oz. of natural charcoal soy wax blended with coconut wax and fragranced with essential oils from Canada. The burn time is around 35 - 40 hours. I light mine just after 7 p.m. for about an hour, and its amazing throw lingers right into bedtime three or so hours later. And also while working at my desk for a few to elevate my workspace mid-morning or afternoon...
I actually saved lighting my 'Winter Pine' candle until the new year, and let me tell you, the unlit throw is incredibly exotic and striking as is. I was totally blown away!
A clean burn and finish.
'Looking forward to planting 'something wild' this spring. :)
