As if it ever goes on hiatus with confectioners and having a sweet-tooth. This year I wanted to try another holiday favourite and dived right in with making my own Homemade Torrone, Round I, test sample (above); a soft and chewy nougat with toasted nuts and freeze-dried strawberries. Soo delicious! and even more exciting with adding a beloved fruit. Last year, here. A great way to celebrate making it to the end of another 'wild' year. My strawberry sunshine smoothie for our 'foggier' fall mornings. To a blender, add 5 ripe strawberries (chilled or semi-frozen), 1 frozen banana, 1 cup cold coconut (or alternate) milk + a squeeze of fresh lemon juice; blend to semi-smooth and enjoy. Delicious as is or add a little honey if desired.
