'Sunday-brunching at home with our bright and elevating fruits of the season: Mango Lime Sorbet, for a refreshing and lovely winter afternoon, indoors. What I love about this delicious blend is its playful versatility— enjoying the flavour as is, as a frozen smoothie for starters, or with a splash of champagne (or white wine) to mimosa-esque it, and freezing the leftovers (if) :), for a next day sorbet treat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Starlight
Ingredients (Serves 2):
2 cups fresh ripe mango (peeled, diced, & chilled in the freezer for 3 hours)
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon grated lime zest
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
3 drops Angostura Bitters
pinch of fine sea salt
Directions:
Add all of the ingredients to a high-powered blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If doubling the recipe, blend 2 cups of the frozen fruit at a time for easier handling.
Pour as is into slightly chilled glasses, or allow to firm up a bit more in the freezer for 3 hours to overnight.
