Is this the year we'll have a true Indian summer? 'Sure feels like it with stepping out this week minus jacket. Happy early weekend Everyone! Always something to look forward to on a Thursday. :) Light(er) listening (I started a fall playlist on Spotify while making Sunday dinner recently —all the soothing notes in the background, and I'm still adding to it), easy reading, and savoured scoops to go... We're on serious, simple rotation these days with our quiet comforts: non-thriller watches, and for the first time in over 17 years tuning in to watch The Golden Bachelor!, totally unplanned. 'Warm, oven-baked boneless chicken (and lots of it, on repeat) with a variety of dipping sauces in lettuce wraps for restful sleep and 'balance' with our steady falling temps, really hits the spot. Three softer weekend notes ahead. Stay safe, warm, and hydrated. ~xx

Departure - Season 3 - on Global TV. And she's back! :) Lead Investigator, Kendra Malley (played by Archie Panjabi) investigates the sinking of a sea ferry destined for Newfoundland, Canada, with just under 500 passengers on board. With early beginning checks, Kendra soon realizes initial findings are not adding up and digs deeper into the possibility of a more sinister reality. I find this series soothing and balanced (within the suspense itself), due to Kendra's softer leading role. Just what we need these days. Entertainment perfect for the end of the workday, or weekend catch-up. Check your local listings for viewing in your area...
